If you’re hoping to find a relaxed and fun summer wedding video to inspire you then you’ve come to the right place.
This is a wedding blog showing off Claire and Simon’s wedding highlights video from their chilled summer vibes wedding over at the historical National Trust property that isDunham Massey in Cheshire.
The morning starts being surrounded by the most wonderfully supportive (and fun) friends and family.
We then head to a cute English countryside village church before heading to Dunham Massey to celebrate their marriage in style.
Keen to find out more and be inspired…?
Well below you’ll find their wedding highlights video along with a few stills (taken from the video) and a little more blurb about their amazing wedding…
Claire and Simon’s Dunham Massey Wedding Video
The morning started bright and early over at Claire’s house in Hale with her best friends and possibly the cutest flower girl EVER (I would know, I had the pleasure of filming her a few months before for a family shoot at theirs too! You can see that here).
As with most wedding mornings the time seemed to disappear and it was soon a race to get ready as Claire really hated the idea of being late!
We all got stuck in (literally, with lots of ‘tit tape’), I managed to encourage a ‘just woken from her nap’ Robyn in to her dress and soon Claire was ready and looking incredible in her floor length silk wedding gown.
The guys were typically fighting with wedding ties and shining shoes in-between a lot of friendly banter before they headed off the the church in Dunham Massey in Cheshire.
A Romantic Wedding Ceremony in Dunham Massey
I loved the moment the Best Man reaches out to give a reassuring touch to the Groom as he turns to see his Bride walk down the aisle.
Turns out Robyn the flower girl and her little friend Max weren’t so keen on walking down the aisle with everyone but I think the couple were so fixed on each other they didn’t notice!
The ceremony at St Mark’s Church in Dunham Massey went perfectly and once the couple had said their vows everyone was treated to a bit of Rod Stewart being performed by one of the Ushers.
Their awesome wedding photographer Sarah (Sarah Maria Photography) soon got everyone organised and managed to capture all the fun and laughter from their wedding party.
I loved her little tricks to get everyone relaxed and laughing for the photos (because lets be honest, posing for wedding photos is the part most people dread!)
A huge confetti line was soon arranaged and the couple got showered in pretty petals before making their way over to their wedding reception at the nearby National Trust property Dunham Massey.
Cheshire Wedding Videography at Dunham Massey – An Outdoor Drinks Reception
Being a recent National Trust member myself I managed to sneak in a visit to Dunham Massey before their wedding day and it got me even more excited for the day.
I even got time to make a little family video of our visit there (may as well use my videography skills for my own personal use too when I can haha).
Thankfully the weather was kind to us and it meant that they could enjoy a drinks reception on the lawns by the famous rose garden and enjoy all the treasures a National Trust wedding has to offer!
It gave a really relaxed, quintessentially British feel to this part of the wedding day as everyone wandered around the lawns and found time to catch up with old friends.
We then got to spend 10 minutes with Claire and Simon as guests made their way to the stables restaurant for the wedding reception.
I think everyone worries you need loads of time to get those ‘just married’ couple shots you’ll love.
I can assure you that choosing your photographer wisely (Sarah was a great choice btw) you can capture some natural moments of the two of you with a handful of more ‘traditional’ shots before your guests have even been seated!
A Relaxed Wedding Reception – Cheshire Wedding Videography
The Stables Restaurant at Dunham Massey looked really beautiful laid out for a wedding.
Long tables with scattered jars of flowers, twinkly lights and bunting gave the room a really cute and relaxed vibe that suited this wedding perfectly.
Guests got to enjoy their meal before we set up ready to film the all important speeches.
Claire had anticipated they wouldn’t be very long but it turned out everyone quite liked to chat and share stories so we even had a loo break ‘interval’ half way through!
A quick room turn around and then Claire and Simon finally got to show off their best moves before everyone joined them on the Dunham Massey dance floor.
Now, I do say I stay until the first dance BUT when you have hired a cool band and the guests have already taken their shoes off ready to party hard it would be rude not to hang around a little longer…
