Inglewood Manor is a Grade II listed wedding venue neastled in Cheshire woodland (close to the Wirral) with a really homely feel to it.
I’ve had the pleasure of filming at Inglewood a few times over the years and I can see it still proves to be such a popular wedding venue in the North West.
For Jen and Richie’s day, it was all about celebrating with close friends and family after a rough 18 months and they chose me as their wedding videographer to capture it all for them!
If you love the idea of a big family wedding with lots of children then this is the wedding inspiration you need.
Get comfy and enjoy reliving Jen and Richie’s heartwarming family wedding video from their wedding at Inglewood Manor in Cheshire…
Inglewood Manor Wedding
Family Fun and Bridal Prep
Jen had the great idea of taking over one of the bigger rooms at Inglewood Manor downstairs to allow them the space to enjoy bridal hair and make-up with the children running around too.
They had childminders on hand to cuddle and entertain the little ones inbetween breastfeeds and snack breaks helping keep the wedding morning relaxed.
Richie was a little nervous on the morning of the wedding. Knowing this, Jen had opted to have me film alone so it didn’t feel too much for them.
I still snuck upstairs with their wedding photographer Sarah (Sarah Maria Photography) to capture a bit of the nerves before leaving him to get ready in peace (and with a bottle of fizz!).
Soon Jen and her bridal party were whisked upstairs to get ready in to her dress. A little bit of feeding needed to ease the cleveage (the joys of breastfeeding I know only too well haha) and she was ready to get married!
An Emotional and Romantic Wedding Ceremony
Richie walked down the aisle with his favourite girl Lexie before waiting for his Bride.
Lots of deep breaths and reassuring pats on the arm from his Best Man and he just about managed to hold back the tears as Jen made her way down the aisle.
It always feels so special being their to film these moments for any couple. To see all the love and emotions pouring out and being the one trusted to capture it discreetly. Best part of being a wedding videographer!
They were soon announced as husband and wife (after a few more tears) and catching up with guests over canapes and drinks in the main hall at Inglewood Manor.
Inglewood Manor Wedding in Cheshire
Depite the rain they managed to squeeze in some of the formal family photos with Sarah before sneaking off for some couples shots in the gardens of Inglewood Manor.
It’s always so much fun filming the in-between bits here as the couple can’t stay too ‘posed and romantic’ for too long when Sarah is giving them little instructions to make them giggle.
All of Richie’s talks of muffins had me wanting to find a shop to buy one for my snack…(long story!)
Child Friendly Fun At Your Wedding
Jen and Richie really planned well so the children could enjoy the wedding too. So much so that they didn’t want to pose for photos, they wanted to get back to playing!
As well as a whole room set up by the wedding childminders with imaginative play and craft activities, they also had garden games on the lawns.
What I loved was seeing the adults getting as much fun out of the games as the kids!
I know it’s always a tricky question regarding having children at your wedding. It’s totally a personal choice.
What I will say is that pre-kids of my own, I was all for a child free and ‘quieter’ wedding.
Now I have a wedding obsessed child who cannot wait for her first wedding invite…they really can make a wedding with a little bit of thoughful planning!
Inglewood Manor Wedding Reception
The team at Inglewood Manor turned the ceremony room around in record speed all ready for their wedding breakfast and reception.
Guests made their way to their seats and it was down to their amazingly talented Master of Ceremonies to warm them up, ready to welcome the happy couple!
I’m used to very traditional MC’s so this was a breath of fresh air and great humour. I found myself laughing along!
Jen and Richie were soon seated and it was time for the wedding speeches. Richie described his as the paper/written version of a Dad dance…it was anything but! There may’ve been more tears…
Filming The First Dance
Entertainment continued through the night! With a selfie mirror, epic magician to wow the guests AND a wedding band their guests enjoyed the lot.
The newlyweds made their way to the dancefloor to cut the cake (and Richie was caught on camera licking the knife and then suddenly realising that was not ‘covid safe’ behaviour he swiftly hid it haha).
It was lovely seeing them have this time together before embracing all their guests on the dancefloor.
Although I say I leave at the first dance, I can’t help but stay for a few songs after to capture the party atmosphere. It really is the perfect reminder and ending to your wedding video…
Planning Your Own Fun Family Wedding In Cheshire?
If you’re planning a fun filled family affair for your wedding and after a wedding videographer keen to capture it all for you then you’re in the right place!
As well as filming weddings since 2010 I now film family life too. I LOVE documenting family life and capturing the personalities of your little ones on such special occasions like these.
Can you even imagine how special it’ll be for your children to look back on your wedding video in years to come..?
For them to have these memories to share with you as they grow. Maybe even have something to share with their own kids?
I totally get how special that can be and would love to film your wedding in a way that allows you all to relive it over and over again.
