A Vow Renewal at West Tower

West Tower is nestled away off a lovely, quiet lane just outside Ormskirk in Lancashire. It’s only a few minutes’ drive for me to get there, so it’s always brilliant when I get to visit such a stunning local wedding venue.

This time, I was there for a gorgeous and fun-filled vow renewal for Michelle and John, who originally married at West Tower ten years earlier! With an outdoor ceremony in the bright summer sunshine and plenty of entertainment for their guests, it made for a brilliant, fun highlights video.

A Relaxed Wedding Morning

Michelle enjoyed a really relaxed morning getting ready with her best friend before being joined by her youngest son. They started in one of the on-site rooms before being snuck into the Bridal suite ahead of her Husband arriving at the venue. I loved how they all kept sneaking looks out of the Bridal Suite window to see the guests arriving for the ceremony below!

The Bridal suite at West Tower is a stunning setting to enjoy a relaxed wedding morning. Not only is the natural light pouring in through the tall windows, it’s also home to a huge four poster bed that creates quite the statement.

An Outdoor Ceremony At West Tower…

West Tower features a stunning outdoor ceremony setting tucked away in their gardens. Michelle and John had the lovely Lorraine (The Liverpool Celebrant) conduct their vow renewal in front of all their family and friends. Having a wedding celebrant is a great way to make your ceremony personal to you.

I loved how truly personal Lorraine made the ceremony, it certainly had everyone giggling. They soon said ‘I do, again’ and walked back down the aisle to enjoy drinks and canapes out in the Lancashire sunshine.

Up Close Magic With Zanda Magic!

Guests (and myself included) were thoroughly wowed by the incredible Zanda Magic during the drinks reception. I found myself following him around because not only were his tricks mind-blowing, but the reactions from the guests were priceless. I don’t think a photo can truly take you back to how it felt being with your guests experiencing close-hand magic like that! He is easily one of the best magicians at a wedding!

Sneaking In Time For Some Couple Portraits…

Rachel Clarke, their chosen wedding photographer, and I snuck the couple away for a few minutes to capture some relaxed couple portraits around the West Tower gardens.

Rather than staged posing, the moments where they are just making each other laugh are always my absolute favourite to capture on video. When you watch your own wedding video back it then becomes less about feeling awkward and remembering how it felt to just enjoy the day!

Time For The Speeches at West Tower!

Even though it was a vow renewal rather than a traditional wedding day, Michelle and John still kept all the best traditions. The speeches brought plenty of cheers as they celebrated their decade together alongside their two sons.

Wedding speeches are always a great way to learn more about the couple too so I can create a video that truly reflects their story and personalities.

A First Dance At West Tower (With Take That!)

They hadn’t originally planned a first dance, but when their Take That tribute band, Never Forget, started up, they couldn’t help themselves!

Guests joined them on the dance floor, singing and swaying along as the band belted out all the classic hits. It really was the perfect way to kick off the evening celebrations at West Tower.

A Personal Vow Renewal Celebration!

If you’re lucky enough to have a major milestone coming up, a vow renewal is such a brilliant way to celebrate your love. Marriage is the real journey, so celebrating after 10, 20, or 50 years together deserves every bit of the fuss!
