Nunsmere Hall Wedding Videography
Nunsmere Hall is a stunning hidden gem of a wedding venue near Delamere Forest in Cheshire.
I’ve had the pleasure of being a wedding videographer at lots of lovely Nunsmere Hall weddings over the years but this was my first outdoor ceremony.
With the red brick country house as the backdrop, the ceremony takes place within the beautiful gardens by the pond and makes for a stunning location to get married!
Here’s a little more about Sara and Carl’s Cheshire wedding, including their full wedding highlights video…

A Busy Wedding Morning…
Sara and Carl’s wedding was all about family, so it made sense to enjoy getting ready with all the family too!
It was a bit of a hot one on that June day at Nunsmere Hall. Being such an old and historical building it wasn’t really set up for the impacts of a heat wave so LOTS of fans were dotted around the room to try and keep everyone cool.
The Grandkids chilled in their prams whilst the adults got ready for the big day.
And what a day it was going to be!
Getting Ready For The Outdoor Ceremony…
I’d had the pleasure of filming Carl at another wedding (don’t worry Carl, I’ll leave those jokes for your Best Man). His Brother and new Sister in Law Laura were married a few years before over in the Wirral at Thornton Manor (see that here!).
It’s always such a pleasure to hang out with families all over again when another family member gets married. I also think it really helps everyone feel even more relaxed on the day too!
Carl had their Son, Ronnie, with them on the morning and I just love the shots of them getting ready together.
Sara had a bit of a full house with all the Bridesmaids and Grandkids in her room but I think it made for some fun video footage.
Even the time when I had to multitask and rock a pram with foot whilst trying to film…

Romantic Outdoor Ceremony At Nunsmere Hall
As hot as it was, everyone embraced the weather with lots of fans to keep cool as they waited for the Bride to walk down the aisle.
Add a few excited nerves to the mix and a three-piece suit and I’d imagine Carl was really feeling the heat!
Sara looked stunning as she glided down the aisle towards Carl. She was accompanied by her very proud eldest Son.
Carl couldn’t hold back the tears any longer!
A Special Little Ring bearer…
When it came to the wedding rings, there was only one person who could have done the honour and that was their Son Ronnie.
In his very own suit and bow-tie he curiously passed on the rings to his Parents before heading back to his seat.
More tears, gentle kisses and knowing glances and they were soon announced as Husband and Wife.

Ice cream, Garden Games and Catching Up!
Guests were then treated to Mrs Dowsons ice cream from Rainbow Treat Trikes and canapes under the large patio umbrellas.
As well as the usual catching up and drinks reception hugs and kisses, they got to get competitive with Shindigs of Sherwood garden games!
We definitely saw a bit of cheatings going on but everyone loved having the games to enjoy before it was time to head to the marquee for the wedding reception…

Natural and Fun Moments With The Couple…
Obviously there’s the formal group photos at every wedding, which their photographer Peter Wynne took control of.
But the best moments came when we went for a walk around the gardens with just the Bride and Groom to enjoy some couple portraits.
Stashed in my camera bag was a nerf gun ready and waiting for Sara’s surprise ‘attack’.
They’d shared with me stories of them playing nerf gun wars at home and how they were debating bringing that chaos to the wedding too.
Well, Sara did. And we got it all on video!

Natural Wedding Videography in Yorkshire
Obviously I’m there to capture all the important parts, like the wedding vows and your speeches.
But we all know it’s the funny bits that make this wedding video more about ‘you’! These are the moments you’ll love watching back year after year!
It comes with experience. Filming weddings since 2010 means I’ve had the pleasure of observing people at weddings for YEARS and it’s one of my favourite things to do.
And being in on fun surprises like nerf gun wars is even better!
Wedding Speeches at Nunsmere Hall
The wedding reception at speeches were planned for in the garden marquee.
Guests arrived to a room filled with informal arrangements of bright flowers by Fresh Floral Designs and it looked fabulous!
Once everyone enjoyed their meal it was on to the wedding speeches.
After quite the year this couple had had, everyone took the opportunity to share how much on an incredible woman Sara had been.
Lots of emotional speeches, tears and some laughter at Carl’s expense and it was time for the game of Mr and Mrs…

Sneaking Off For Some Video By The Lake…
I always tell couples to take some time away from their guests to take a breather and help slow the day down a little.
A great way to do that is to sneak off some some giggly, romantic moments by the lake at Nunsmere Hall!
After avoiding to get eaten alive (as I find myself climbing in to long grass to get gorgeous shots like there) we headed back to the marquee for the first dance.

A First Dance As A Family
Their first dance started with just the two of them before being joined by their gorgeous Son, Ronnie.
Guests them joined them on the dancefloor to dance the night away.
I just love how much they both couldn’t stop smiling or kissing each other all day.
If they weren’t taking the p**s, they were being utter sweethearts and I LOVED capturing their amazing connection!
