A hint of Parisienne style influence gives Harriet and Jason’s wedding at The Villa in Wrea Green that extra personal and elegant touch.

As a wedding videographer there’s nothing more wonderful than having someone book you on a recommendation. This wedding came from a very special recommendation and it was that of her lovely sister Bridget (and her Mum who always promised me I’d be the one to film Harriet’s wedding day too!)

Here’s their beautiful wedding highlights video that gives a little hint at their love for all things French…

It started on a chilly winters day in Preston as the girls got ready over at the Bride’s parents and the boys got ready over at her sister and brother in law’s not too far away.

Sonara Parker was on hand with her team to do their professional wedding make-up (I adore Sonara, she really has a gift when it comes to stunning bridal make-up!) as everyone enjoyed that pre-wedding excitement getting ready in the kitchen!

The boys were obviously keen (or nervous) and were basically ready when my husband arrived to film them before they left for the church.

Both mornings were super relaxed (it’s like they’d had practice…), even prepared enough to make sausage butties for everyone and pop open some champers!

The boys were soon heading off to the church and it was time for Harriet to get in to her super elegant wedding dress with the help of her Mum and sister.

She accessorised with chic French style, a pair of beautiful white gloves and a faux fur cape (or shrug).

She paused for breath before gliding down the stairs and taking everyone’s breath away. There’ were LOTS of tears and ‘oh Harriet’ as she smiled and soaked in all the fuss.

Hands down one of the BEST moments to have captured on your wedding video for sure, the other being when Dad sees you…

Broughton Wedding Cars were soon escorting the bridal party to their awaiting cars before setting off to Broughton Church (also known as St John the Baptist in Fulwood).

The bridesmaids were fighting back the tears outside the church as Harriet stepped out of her wedding car and they were soon being ushered in ready to make the walk down the aisle.

They were beaming from ear to ear when Harriet finally made it to Jason’s side. Everyone took their seats the ceremony began.

As a past bride and a wedding videographer I feel it’s really important to get more than one angle on the wedding day.

During the ceremony I have a wedding videographer filming at the front along with me filming at the back. It allows you to see more of your day, more moments and more reactions/connections/smiles/glances/tears.

The walk down the aisle is normally the part EVERYONE loves to relive and with two camera’s it’s even more special!

Then it’s time to exchange wedding rings and say your vows…

Harriet and Jason were soon lighting their new candle (once Jason realised which one he was meant to take the light from) before walking back down the aisle as husband and wife.

Outside was SO cold and guests were keen to get to The Villa at Wrea Green.

Their wedding photographer Ioan from Celynnen Photography did an amazing job getting through their list of group photos without anyone turning blue (or the veil getting blown away!).

Guests arrived to rain at The Villa at Wrea Green near Preston for their wedding reception. The lovely wedding co-ordinator Kathryn was on hand with umbrellas to keep them dry as they made their way inside to their awaiting guests!

Everyone got to enjoy canapes and catching up as the couple enjoyed a few moments for those all important couple portraits (and their wedding photographer Ioan is a master at these).

The wedding reception took place under the twinkling fairy lights in the pavilion marquee.

Our Bride and Groom were welcomed in to the room to a loud applause before taking their seats and enjoying their wedding breakfast.

After a short break we were back to video their wedding speeches. As you saw, the Groom had the mother of the bride wiping tears away so he did an excellent job with his speech!

But before he could get too cocky the Best Men soon got their slideshow up and running to embarrass him…

An indoor natural petal confetti shot was next, some fun group portraits and chilled drinks in the bar before everyone was heading back to the marquee for the evening reception.

After their beautiful first dance to a French song by Bridget Bardot and La Mer the fun band ‘Fat Cats‘ got everyone on the dancefloor (and kept it full all night I hear!).

For those guests who needed a break from the dancing Lovely Booths had an amazing photo booth set up in the room for them to have a giggle and pose with their friends and silly props!

It goes to show how the personal touches can make all the difference with making a wedding your own.

As well as how picking a great wedding team can help make your day go perfectly and as you envisaged it. Below are all the guys who made Harriet and Jason’s wedding in Preston extra special and come highly recommended (by them AND me!).
