I knew before even meeting them that Stacey and Chris’s wedding would be full of energy.

As soon as I arrived at the Bridal apartment where the bridal party were getting ready, I was greeted with smiles, hugs off Stacey’s Mum and offers of ‘paned’ (Welsh for tea/brew!).

I don’t think Stacey and her Mum stopped smiling all day to be honest and it was a pleasure to capture their joy all day!

So, sit back and grab yourself a paned. It’s time to enjoy Stacey and Chris’s Rivington Hall Barn wedding video…

A Stunning Setting at Rivington Hall Barn, Lancashire

This stunning Grade II listed building in the Lancashire countryside, right by the popular walking spot of Rivington Pike, is the perfect wedding venue.

Not only does it have the beautiful, historic setting. They’ve also added some modern touches so you can enjoy the space whatever the weather!

But I feel what really sets it apart on the attentive staff. I can’t even begin to tell you how incredible they were!

Matt, Matt, Gilly and the rest of the team really went above and beyond. Not just for the couple, but for me as well.

Getting Ready at Rivington Hall Barn

I’ve been a guest at Rivington Hall Barn before now but never had the pleasure of being a wedding videographer here.

The historic barn remains the same, with it’s original Saxon wooden beams and steeped in character and charm.

With the addition of the beautiful glass fronted patio making it great for your drinks reception, whatever the weather.

Ooh and the beautiful Manor House where you can get ready with your favourite people.

I LOVE how it looks out on to the lawns and you can get excited as you watch your guests arrive whilst getting ready!

A Relaxed Morning at Rivington Hall Barn

As I mentioned earlier, I arrived to smiles and a room full of giddy excitement at the Manor House at Rivington Hall Barn.

Stacey picked stunning blush colours for her wedding style/theme and it really complimented the surroundings.

Hair and make-up were well under way (bumping in to ‘Hair By Kelly’ again only a week later!).

Elle was wowing everyone with her talents of writing her Brother’s name.

And before we knew it, it was time for everyone to get ready.

You may notice that I haven’t many shots of Stacey getting in to her dress…?

Well, that was because I was in the bathroom with a Bridesmaid using my sewing skills to disguise a broken zip!

Over at the Groom’s parents, it was all about fussing over their son Jack.

He was so excited about being in charge of the rings and looked very smart in his page boy/Best Man suit!

An Stylish Ceremony at Rivington Hall Barn

The space inside the Barn was transformed in to a Pinterest worthy ceremony!

With white carpet, stunning white blossom trees on pillars and a hint of fancy lighting it really had the wow factor.

The Groom arrived early to start greeting their guests as Stacey added her finishes touches.

Emma Billsborough was their incredibly talented wedding photographer (and who kindly recommended me!).

As Stacey was ready early she had some fun posing the bridal party in the Manor House before walking over to the Barn.

A Family Affair – Walking Down The Aisle

Their children Jack and Elle walked down the aisle together first and made lots of their guests cry, they looks adorable.

But the beautiful moment happened when they stayed with their Dad to watch their Mum walk down the aisle.

I secretly think Chris used them as a distraction to stop himself crying so he could win the bet with the Best Man ha.

Jack, with a huge smile on his face, played the role of the ring barer. Possibly the cutest thing to film!

Then it was dancing back down the aisle as Husband and Wife…

Wedding Confetti in The Gardens

Guests spilled out in to the gardens at Rivington Hall Barn ready for myself and Paul to film the confetti walk.

It was then on to Emma Billsborough to organise the formal wedding group photos!

Myself and Emma then snuck off with the couple for 10 minutes to get some natural couple moments in the gardens.

Dancing into The Wedding Reception

Stacey and Chris really knew how to make an entrance in to their wedding reception at Rivington Hall Barn!

They literally danced in to the barn to ‘Dancing On The Ceiling’ before making their way to the top table.

The Mother of the Bride started the speeches off with her proud speech about the couple.

It was then on to Chris to say a few ‘Thank Yous’ before Stacey’s Uni mates and the Best Man had people laughing.

Relaxed and Candid Videography

A wedding day may have it’s ‘formalities’ and typical moments but that doesn’t mean your wedding videography has to be formal too!

Stacey said she booked us for our relaxed and natural approach to wedding videography.

And I know that it’s not always the typical ‘best bits’ from a wedding day we go on to treasure.

It’s usually the unexpected moments. The laughter, the connections and the times when you forgot we were filming at all!

All those little moments of them with their children will be fondly enjoyed for years to come and make this wedding video extra special.

Award Winning DJ and Partying HARD

After their wedding breakfast and the staff at Rivington Hall Barn had things set up for the evening it was time to get the party started!

It turns out one of the Bridesmaids happened to have an Uncle who was ‘alright’ at DJ’ing.

Turns out that Uncle was award winning wedding and events DJ, Andy Murphy!

Before the couple had even took to the dancefloor he had people surrounding the DJ Booth.

The first time was to get everyone singing ‘Stacey’s Mom, has got it going on’ (insert laughing emoji!)

First Dance and Surprise Confetti

Their stunning wedding cake was cut and they made their way to the dancefloor for their first dance.

Now, Stacey and Chris had let me in to a little secret to ensure I was ready to film the surprise.

They decided to let Andy decide when the big confetti canon was to be let off so they could be in on the fun too.

As videographers it’s always amazing to be prepared so we could get in the best position to capture the fun!
