If I were planning a wedding now, Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn would be the top of my list for asking about pricing and packages!

Sadly I’ve been married for 15 years now so I’ll have to enjoy filming other couples getting married there instead!

I’ve had the pleasure of being the wedding videographer at a few Browsholme Hall weddings. Today it was Laura and Tom’s turn!

A self-confessed camera shy couple, Laura and Tom booked me as their videographer despite their worries.

Why?

Because I pride myself of being discreet, friendly and helping couples feel relaxed around me and my little video camera!

Fancy seeing a Highlights video from their very windy August wedding…?

A Storm Brewing in Lancashire

I was an August Bride and in true British Summer style, a huge storm had descended on Lancashire!

This sadly meant they couldn’t have the outdoor ceremony at the Lily Pond OR photos and video on the rowing boat, but it did mean we could enjoy a cosy ceremony in the Tithe Barn!

Laura had her hair and make-up team together in the new garden shed in the grounds of Browsholme. She’d chosen Alice Rose Bridal and Nicola Jane MUA.

With lots of snacks and a wedding itinerary for everyone, the morning got off to a very organised start!

Over at the Groom’s, he opted for a Scottish wedding tradition with a kilt! As a nod to his family roots.

It wasn’t as simple as following a YouTube video to get dressed mind! He had lots of help from his Best Man and Ushers to ensure he looked perfect in his kilt!

A Tithe Barn Wedding Ceremony

Once the finishing touches were added, both our Bride and Groom were ready to get married!

I love that at Browsholme, there’s no rush down the aisle. The team there ensure they get a breather before making that walk to get married.

As a videographer I love being able to sneak a glimpse in to those nervous few moments before the ceremony, including a reassuring smile with the Bride and her Dad.

Personal Wedding Vows at Browsholme

Laura and Tom took the time as a couple to write their own wedding vows.

I’m a HUGE fan of couples that do this as it can help make the ceremony personal.

As a Bride that also wrote her own vows, it’s also a lovely way to hear them back all these years later. A way to remember the promises (and silly jokes) you made to each other!

Wedding Confetti in a Lancashire Storm!

The rain had subsided so the couple raced out in the courtyard to capture some bridal party photos (and video).

The wind was still causing some Marilyn Monroe moments but it just made for fun video footage!

Their amazing photographer Jules Fortune guided everyone in to place to ensure the photos happened quickly.

Before the rain could start again, the couple then enjoyed a very windy confetti run outside the Barn before dashing back in to the warmth of the venue.

The Perfect Lancashire Wedding Venue

The authentic stone Tithe Barn at Browsholme was the perfect setting for a wedding reception.

I can see why it’s one of the most popular wedding venues in Lancashire! The barn has such beautiful original features, such as exposed oak beams and stunning stone floors, it has all the rustic vibes!

Laura and Tom kept their wedding reception styling simple with sage greens, pinks and creams. It really complimented the historic barn.

Amore Event Stylists and Flowergirls Whalley did an amazing job of bringing their vision to life!

Wedding Reception in Browsholme Hall Tithe Barn

Once guests made their way to their seats it was time to welcome the newlyweds!

To loud applause and cheers, they took their seats and it was time for the wedding speeches.

It’s common now for couples to enjoy their wedding speeches before their wedding breakfast.

Having wedding speeches first can be great for anyone who may be nervous speaking as it’s one less pressure to worry about during the meal!

Not only did they have the traditional wedding speeches (Father of the Bride, Groom and Best Man), they also have a Bride and Maid of Honour speech which was great!

I really do love filming weddings that add their own stamp on wedding timelines and traditions!

Filming Couple Portraits in the Rain…

Not just the usual rain. Torrential rain mixed with stormy winds!

After a day of dodging the rain, the couple braved the elements to ensure they got some couple shots in front of the main house at Browsholme Hall.

With a bit of help getting them there, thanks to my second videographer Dally and a huge golf umbrella, myself and Jules got them in position under the trees.

I love some of the shots we managed to capture here and think they’ll be a fun memory for the couple to look back on!

A Choreographed First Dance At Browsholme

As someone who hired a dance instructor to help us choreograph our first dance, I feel it’s a great idea to help you enjoy this moment together!

Pick a slow and romantic song and it can easily become an awkward shuffle on the dancefloor.

Get some expert guidance and a few steps practiced beforehand and it can help bring a bit of confidence to that moment for you both.

As you’ll see from Laura and Tom’s first dance at Browsholme, both the couple AND the crowd were loving it!

Natural Wedding Videography at Browsholme Hall

I LOVE Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn. Even after 15 years filming weddings, it’s still one of my favourites in Lancashire (in fact, the whole of the UK!).

Not only is the wedding venue stunning but they have an incredible team that help the day go perfectly for you (and even look after me with a hot drink here and there, ideal on a stormy day!)

If you have also fallen in love with Browsholme and you’re now looking for a videographer to capture your day there, then I’m SO glad you stumbled across me!
