A Concorde Hangar Wedding at Manchester Airport
Two Sams. Two BA flight attendants. One Concorde that became part of their story long before they had even met. One of them stood beneath Concorde as an 11-year-old, watching it land in absolute awe… never knowing he’d one day stand under that very same aircraft saying “I do”.
Honestly…that part still gives me goosebumps!
This utterly personal wedding at Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park took place under the historic Concorde, now pride of place in it’s bespoke hanger. Their stories of how their love of Aviation and each other entwined is so inspiration, this really was the dream wedding to film.
Believe it or not, it wasn’t my love of planes that got me the gig as their wedding videographer! It may have been the mention of loving 90’s Pop music and their plans for an ‘S + S Club Party’ that meant we were made for each other!
Sam and Sam – Concorde Wedding Highlights Video
The Perfect Venue (Literally Under Concorde) at Manchester Airport
Before we headed over to the Radisson to capture Sam and Sam getting ready, it was all hands on deck to ensure the set up was looking perfect. Their very close friends and Mum’s were busy adding the finishing touches to their Aviation themed table decor whilst their bespoke wedding cake and personalise topper was assembled.
It was then time for a quick timing rehearsal of their entrance and exit from Concorde, a moment that I think made it all feel very real!
It was then time for Sam and Sam to head over to the Radisson to get themselves ready and trust the team to have the hangar looking perfect, ready for their arrival.
They opted for matching bespoke fitted navy wedding suits and a gorgeous two-tone patent blue shoe. I snuck in to capture those finishing touches of them getting ready, including a few funny moments of family stopping by to share their silly stories of the morning!

Passports At The Ready! A Wedding Ceremony On Concorde
Guests arrived at Runway Visitor Park to Concorde lit beautifully. In true Sam and Sam fashion, they came armed with their ‘Save The Date’ passports, all ready to be stamped at the check in desk. Filming guests reacting to all these little touches is something I know couples go on to love as they’re seeing moments they didn’t get to see on the day!
Their friend Lolly had the role of MC (or PA for the flight ahead), making all the official announcements ahead of the couple arriving.

Guests were invited to gather around the nose of the plane to welcome Sam and Sam into the hangar. On the arms of their proud Mum’s, they made their way up the steps to ‘Chasing Cars’. The emotional moment caught everyone by surprise and my second videographer was on ground level, able to film their guests wiping away their tears as I captured them making their way onto Concorde.
As Concorde is very short on space, some wedding guests got to be seated under the nose of Concorde to enjoy a live screening of the ceremony whilst the chosen few got to board the plane (once they’d checked their tickets, of course!).
Once seated, it was time for myself and Georgie Beck (their wedding photographer) to enjoy getting cosy in the aisle as we captured a truly unique wedding of Sam and Sam on Concorde itself!
Before the day, we’d chatted about how to make it possible filming their ceremony with such limited space. The venue felt there was room for only one of us, photo OR video. But Georgie and I made it work so they didn’t feel they needed to compromise.

An Aviation Love Story – Perfect For Video!
Sam and Sam exchanged their bespoke wedding rings and sealed it with a kiss before enjoyed all the fuss and congratulations off their guests as they disembarked.
As guests grabbed their prosecco and gathered at the bottom of the steps, we made some time to sneak into the Concorde cockpit to capture a few moments of the newlyweds enjoying being in a rarely seen part of the plane!
Celebrating in style, the couple danced out of the plane to ‘I’m Your Man’ by George Michael. Grinning from ear to ear, they made their way down to their guests hand in hand to really kick off the party!
Everyone there were keen to enjoy the Concorde tours, with Aviation and Concorde experts leading the way. As the tours took place, Sam and Sam snuck outside into the Runway Visitor Park to get some fun couples shots by their favourite planes (one being Monarch, the first company they flew together!)

Aviation Personal Touches Everyone Loved
I honestly can’t even cover all the amazing thoughtful touches the couple put into their wedding so here’s just a few of my personal favourites that guests also seemed to adore!
- Save The Date Passports (that they had to keep and bring to the wedding for stamps!)
- Official check in desk and stamps
- Boarding cards for those on Concorde
- Cabin Crew/PA Style Announcements
- Personalised on-board safety cards
- Bespoke ‘S&S’ wings pins for all their guests
- Model airplanes on their tables linked to the guests seated
- A Globe for guests to sign from all over the world
A Wedding Breakfast and Speeches Under The Wings of Concorde
With Concorde all lit up in blues and violet, it created a dramatic and iconic setting for the wedding breakfast and reception part of the day.
Before guests could be seated it was time for the Concorde ‘Nose Drop’, which wowed aviation fans and everyone else!
I got to film guests reacting to all the thoughtful details on their table, from nods to their aviation links to a nod to Sam’s Heinz Tomato Ketchup obsession (something I can relate to, I have a Husband who’s the same!)
Once the meal had been enjoyed, it was time for the wedding speeches to take place under the wings of Concorde. I always LOVE filming the speeches, especially if they put in as much thought and personal stories as Sam and Sam did! It’s a great way to get to know the couple more and ensure their wedding video really reflects them as a couple.
The scale an beauty of the setting really added to the occasion. It’s cinematic without trying to be.
Which is why the tiny clip I shared on TikTok went absolutely wild! Aviation lovers, crew members, and romantics all found their way to it. Turns out people love a good Concorde love story as much as I do!

Time For Their S & S Club Party, Aviation Style!
Sam and Sam took to the floor as newlyweds to enjoy their first dance. I loved seeing them sing the song to each other as the twinkly lights of the dancefloor reflected in the belly of Concorde. Such a magical moment…
Which then turned in to the most fabulous 90’s chaos as guests piled on the dancefloor to join in dance routines from the likes of Steps, S Club 7 and the Macarena! I’m even told there’s guest footage of me prancing around in the background (if someone sticks Steps on the playlist, all professionalism goes out the window haha).

A Concorde Wedding is MADE For Video…
I don’t feel you can communicate a love story like this in photos alone! Having two professional videographers for this day allowed us to document so much of their day, it’s ensured their Highlights video is a true reflection of their day AND them as a couple.
Wedding videography can really help your wedding come back to life, ensuring you’re able to not only see but feel your wedding day all over again. Have that wedding in an iconic space like Manchester Airport you’re also feeling what it was like to be there too!
Thank you for trusting me with your wedding videography Sam and Sam and for reminding everyone that best way to really personalise your wedding day at Concorde is to fully entwin your love for each other and love for Aviation in there!
Here’s to aircraft, timing, connection… and a love story literally landing where it was always meant to!
Planning a Concorde wedding of your own? I’d LOVE to hear more, get in touch!
