The joy, the laughter, and the sheer love that filled the air for this beautiful family were truly unforgettable.
With a pastel rainbow theme for their rainbow baby, it was all about celebrating Esme Rae and showing her how special she really was to them.
It’s moments like these that remind me why filming and photographing family events are so essential.

A Naming Day to Remember at Holland Hall
Holland Hall really is a hidden gem in Lancashire.
A Grade II 17th century building with picturesque surroundings in Upholland (and their famous tree swing), was the perfect backdrop for this special day.
As family and friends gathered to celebrate the naming of a precious little girl, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and affection.
Every detail, from the colourful rainbow and pastel decorations to the heartfelt speeches from her older Sister, contributed to an unforgettable experience for everyone.
They had thought of everything to help their guests enjoy the celebrations too!
From a large softplay area for the children, large rainbow balloons and decorations and having a celebrant to conduct the ceremony, it really helped make it personal to Esme Rae’s Naming day.
A Celebrant Led Naming Day
Ceremonies by Sel was their chosen celebrant to lead their Naming Day ceremony at Holland Hall.
Their Celebrant, Selina, was experienced in creating fun and personalised ceremonies for weddings, Christenings and Naming Days.
She’d prepared the most beautiful and personal words to share, as well as sharing the stage with Esme Rae’s two older Sister’s who shared their own poem and promises!
As a family they all lit a candle to show the family coming together to celebrate the naming of their child.

Natural and Candid Family Portraits
I know that as much as we love those candid, documentary photographs it’s important to make time for some more ‘posed’ family portraits.
At the right time, I’ll sneak you off for 5-10 minutes to capture you as a family.
For Esme Rae and her Parent’s, they were keen to make some time to enjoy the swing in the gardens of Holland Hall.
Forcing posed photography of young children will never get the results you’re after.
Letting the kids lead and do their own thing helped me capture their true personalities and in turn, get some fun and beautiful family portraits!
