Having got married over in the Wirral way back (2009 to be precise), weddings over the other side of the water hold a very special place in my heart!
The Wirral is home to numerous luxury wedding venues in the North West and Thornton Manor Estate is up there with the best of them.
Being a wedding videographer for so long I’ve had the pleasure of filming in a few them but Thornton Manor is definitely one of my favourites.
Amy and Phil were spoilt for choice on where to marry at Thornton Manor. They chose to be by the lake in the Lakeside Marquee which allowed for them to add lots of personal touches to make their wedding their own.
Whites, navy and blush pink were chosen for the colour scheme which perfectly matched the princess wedding touches they’d opted for.
Here’s their wedding highlights video from their wedding day. With a ceremony at Oxton St Saviours and reception at the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor…

Wedding Morning Nerves in the Wirral
When the day arrived it was clear a few wedding nerves still lingered but Amy was soon settled in having her hair done and the girls were pouring out the prosecco!
I was soon discreetly filming away as the girls got ready at Amy’s parents house over in Oxton.
The guys were over in Prenton ensuring their shoes were shining and ties looking perfect before taking a stroll over to Oxton St Saviours for the wedding ceremony with my assistant videographer, Paul.

Two Wirral Wedding Videographers Tell The Full Story
As always there were two of us (wedding videographers) to allow us to video both sides of the wedding morning. It’s something people can feel a bit nervous about, having cameras hanging out with you during the nerves of the wedding morning, but it really does end up feeling like it’s just that…us hanging out with you.
It’s the perfect opportunity to get used to us being there but also capture those really natural moments with all your favourite people before you say ‘I do’!
It also means there’s no racing off to miss the Bride showing off her finished look with her bridal party and capturing reactions like this…

Capturing The Bridal Party Rections on Video
Amy was soon gliding down the aisle on the arm of her Dad in the most beautiful princess style wedding gown.

A Romantic Church Ceremony At Oxton St Saviours
Phil looked blown away when he caught a glimpse of her (that look they give each other… so cute).
They said their vows in front of all their family and friends inside Oxton St Saviours before heading out to enjoy the sunshine and a little bit of pink confetti!

A Lakeside Wedding Reception at Thornton Manor
Guests soon made their way over to the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor for the wedding reception.
Whilst the guests got settled and enjoyed their welcome drinks by the lake the photographer and I enjoyed a few moments with the newlyweds in the gardens of Thornton Manor estate capturing some really beautiful couple portraits in the sunshine.
Whilst the photographer set up a few beautiful posed moments I enjoyed filming the more natural moments in-between!

The happy couple were soon greeted with a beer and prosecco before being welcomed in to the Lakeside Marquee by their cheering guests.
Wedding Speeches For The Wedding Video
A little bit of mingling and group photos were followed by the delicious wedding breakfast inside the marquee. The sun still shone brightly across the lake as the Father of the Bride stood up to begin his wedding speech.

You’ll see from their wedding highlights video that everyone managed to get the perfect balance of funny and personal as there was lots of laughter along with lots of happy tears too!

Andy (from Inspire Photography in Chester) and I managed to sneak the bridal party out for some fun shots in the gardens at Thornton Manor before we all headed back inside for their surprise first dance.
A First Dance Curtain Reveal at Thornton Manor Lakeside Marquee
At the Lakeside they love a dramatic surprise reveal for the first dance so Amy and Phil got to hide behind a curtain before it was lifted to the applause of all their friends and family.

As everyone piled on to the dance floor (thanks to their awesome wedding DJ, Matt Tolley picking the right songs) to celebrate we captured some of the fun (and drunk dancing) before saying our goodbyes. What a wedding and what a wedding video. I hope you agree it really shows off not only how much fun they all had but how much love there is between their family and friends. Such a special thing to witness as a wedding videographer and I’m thankful they chose me to capture so many wonderful moments of their wedding day.
Laura and Alex had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor.
This is perfect if you fancy seeing a really fun wedding with laid back vibes.
It also includes an emotional groom, best ‘first look’ reactions from her Dad and some singing waiters that helped create the fun, party atmosphere!
If you’d like to see another wedding that has those pretty, princess vibes then this one is for you!
A classic Bride, beautiful pinks and cream styling throughout and plenty of wedding entertainment made this a truly inspiring wedding over in the Wirral.
Oh and look out for yet another emotional Groom wiping his tears away once he sees his Bride walk down the aisle…
