Wyresdale park Wedding Videography

Wyresdale Park is a stunning country estate nestled away within the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire.
Driving along the winding country roads, through picturesque villages like Scorton and heading up to the popular hiking spot of Nicky Nook, you’ll end up at the Wyresdale Park estate.
Many years ago, before filming weddings, we used to head here to enjoy homemade cakes at the Applestore Cafe and walks around Grizedale Lake. It had a special place in my heart now I get to film beautiful weddings here too!

From the stunning location and the rustic barns for your ceremony and reception, to the incredible staff that go above and beyond. This ticks all the boxes for the perfect wedding venue in the heart of Lancashire.
As a videographer, I do love filming in such a stunning space but also sneaking the couple off through the woods and to the lake for some beautiful portraits with your photographer.
Whatever the weather, this venue is a dream to film at and I thought I’d share a few of my favourite wedding videos to show you why…

A little about me

Your Wyresdale Park Wedding Videographer!

My name is Charlene and I’m a wedding videographer living in West Lancashire who loves to film weddings at one of her FAVOURITE wedding venues, Wyresdale Park!

As an experienced wedding videographer who’s been filming since 2010, it’s all about being discreet and friendly, blending in like a friend (who happens to have lots of experience with a camera). Allowing me to capture those moments you didn’t realise were being filmed.

I went in to the Film and TV industry straight out of college (you can find out more about that on my About Me page) but it was actually editing my own wedding film in 2009 that started me on my wedding videography journey!

What couples love about my film-making approach is the natural ability to anticipate those moments and connections on the day without you being aware I was filming. Friendly and discreet filming is key.

I really do like to live up to the hashtag one of my Groom’s gave me ‘more than a wedding videographer’.

“She really is the best at what she does. So natural, friendly and unobtrusive”

Getting ready at wyresdale park

Improvements are made at this incredible estate almost yearly. When I first filmed a wedding at Wyresdale you staying in glamping tents and now you’re treated to a full North Wing for a relaxed wedding morning and even a specific (and stylish) wooden cabin in the woods!

It creates such a relaxed space it’s great for filming you getting ready in the morning. I love that the North Wing has so much space for mingling, relaxing and evening eating together that it creates a sort of home away from home feel. So when it comes to capturing candid moments of you all, I’ve got plenty of space to do that!

The CEREMONY BARN

They state Wyresdale Park is a ‘luxurious setting where rustic charm meets modern elegance’ and nothing quite says that than their beautiful ceremony barn. It keeps the rustic charm with the original stone flooring and those wooden beams, things that couples really fall in love with when they see it.

Even when the Ceremony Barn is bursting at the seams with the maximum number of 100 guests, there’s still enough room to ensure I can film your ceremony in a discreet way. With space at the front and a way to hide at the back, I can ensure I filming all the important moments for you to relive forever.

The WEDDING RECEPTION

With no ‘turnaround’ needed at Wyresdale, you can move from the rustic White Barn after your wedding breakfast into the Party Barn and Atrium.

There’s LOADS of natural light in this space so it’s always nice to film here throughout the day and when the party starts. Guests can enjoy taking a seat to watch the dancing or make use of all the space to join you on the dancefloor!

By this point of the day everyone is used to having me (and my camera) around so I’m able to blend in and capture everyone being themselves and showing off their best moves. I’m also keeping an eye out for guests who may enjoy the outside space and fire pit before I leave, it’s always nice to capture candid moments there too.

Wedding Videography at Wyresdale Park

Despite filming lots of weddings at Wyresdale Park (2017 being my first!!) they never feel the same. It’s you and your guests that make the wedding what it is and make it completely unique to you, despite the same setting!

Whatever the weather, there are so many photo and video opportunities around the site you’ll be spoilt for choice. From the front of the main house, around the other side of the North Wing to the gardens and woodland. There’s also the ‘key’ shot everyone seems to love down by the Lake!

If you’re up for it, the venue can even arrange for you to enjoy a little trip out on the boat so we can film some unique shots of you together with Nick Nook off in the distance.

“Charlene so was discreet and the whole day felt so relaxed and easy…”
