The Aviary Ormskirk is an exclusive use countryside setting that’s the perfect blank canvas for any wedding or event. As their recommended wedding videographer, I’ve been trusted to capture lots of weddings in this lovely local venue and it’s always a pleasure working alongside their attentive and experienced team.
Tucked away in the Lancashire countryside between Ormskirk and Southport, it’s a wedding venue that’s very local to me which means I know both the venue and the area really well! It’s also close by to Ormskirk Registry Office and lots of popular local churches if you’re looking for a reception venue after your ceremony.
A little about me
Your Aviary Ormskirk Wedding Videographer!
My name is Charlene and I’m a wedding videographer living in Burscough. I’m only down the road from The Aviary and very proud to be one of their recommended suppliers!
As an experienced wedding videographer who’s been filming since 2010, it’s all about being discreet and friendly, blending in like a friend (who happens to have lots of experience with a camera). Allowing me to capture those moments you didn’t realise were being filmed.
I went in to the Film and TV industry straight out of college (you can find out more about that on my About Me page) but it was actually editing my own wedding film in 2009 that started me on my wedding videography journey!
What couples love about my film-making approach is the natural ability to anticipate those moments and connections on the day without you being aware I was filming. Friendly and discreet filming is key.
I really do like to live up to the hashtag one of my Groom’s gave me ‘more than a wedding videographer’.

The Ceremony
You’re spoilt for choice for your wedding ceremony at The Aviary. From their outside space surrounded by landscaped gardens and a picturesque pond, to a couple of options for your indoor space, they’ll be something perfect for your wedding to suit the size of your wedding or preferences of space. My relaxed style and years of experience ensures I can be quick to react to any last minute changes, working closely with the team so I can capture the very best moments without missing a beat.
From 45-200 guests, they can adapt the space to suit your wedding and chosen guests. They can also make the call on the day if the weather is being very typically British! I love that some of my couples have even opted for a celebrant led ceremony for a more personal touch and allow for a more flexible timeline.
The WEDDING RECEPTION
The Aviary love helping you make something unique to you so offer lots of catering options. From a traditional sit down meal indoors to an outdoor BBQ for you and your guests to feast on, it always makes my mouth water and I love filming all your guests chatting after enjoying some delicious food!
There’s no rules when it comes to your wedding speeches either! Some love to opt to position the top table in front of the large doors that open out into the gardens, great for a Summer’s Day! They do have a projector if you have someone a little more creative delivering a speech. Others like to be more informal and may create a standing area for speakers
One thing I love as a videographer is all the space too. I can film discreetly from so many different angles at The Aviary because I know the venue so well. Getting in great positions, reacting to the moments, help to capture as much as possible and ensure you can forget about the cameras!
The little extras…
You don’t need to disappear from your wedding for ages to capture a few moments together on your wedding day. If you hired a wedding car we could sneak off out the front and down the lane if you don’t like the idea of having photos/video with guests around. Or another option could be to have a few couple portraits or natural moments together in the gardens as guests are being seated for the reception. Ideal if you don’t fancy all eyes on you whilst you enjoy a few minutes together!
As someone who’s also hired The Aviary Ormskirk for her own event (we had our joint 40th here!), I can honestly say they’re a dream to work with and will go above and beyond to ensure your celebrations go smoothly.
Additionally, having filmed weddings throughout the year I can confirm it’s perfect in any season! Whether it’s a colourful Spring and Summer celebration and you can enjoy the gardens, or a more intimate and cosy Winter one spent indoors, we’ll help you make it work!
