The North West of England, and Cheshire in particular, is blessed with so many stunning country wedding venues.
Couples really are spoilt for choice!
And it always amazes me that even after 13 years of being a wedding videographer, there’s always new venues to film at.
This was my first visit to The Oaktree of Peover in Knutsford and what a day it was!
Kerry and Nick picked a stunning hidden gem of a location to celebrate their wedding day.
With their beautiful baby daughter Cora and their close family and friends, I had the pleasure of filming a relaxed and fun wedding.

An Oaktree of Peover Highlights Video
Filming The Morning Is One Of My Favourites…
Kerry chose to enjoy having her professional hair and make-up at their family home in Sale (Manchester) first.
Cora looked like she was enjoying watching everyone moving around, eating bacon butties and having their hair done.
It must be so fascinating for babies at weddings!
Jules Daniels Bridal and Bianca Zara Bridal created such a beautiful, natural look on all the girls.
It was then time to pack the car and get everything over to The Oaktree of Peover so they could get in to their dresses.
Filming the morning is one of my favourite parts of the day (there are many to be fair).
I think this part of the day becomes a favourite to watch back too. It captures so much that you won’t remember.
Mainly because you’re in that wedding bubble of excitement and nerves before you actually get married!
But also because I’ve been hanging around for a couple of hours by now, you’ve relaxed around me and I can capture those natural moments you love!
Getting Ready At The Venue
The Oaktree of Peover is a stunning countryside wedding venue in Cheshire.
With natural oak beams creating a beautiful rustic barn style setting, nestled away amongst the trees.
They had recently created a Groom’s Dressing Room at the venue so Nick and his Best Man enjoyed getting ready together.
There was also a bit of YouTube help with the ties and ensuring everything looked smart before the ceremony!
Kerry looked beautiful in her wedding dress and after a quick feed, Cora was ready for her nap…just in time for the ceremony (it’s like they know!)
A Simple But Beautiful Ceremony…
The Ceremony space at The Oaktree of Peover is stunning, with SO much natural light to enjoy.
The natural wood beams make it the perfect setting for something simple and rustic with your wedding styling.
Kerry and Nick chose the amazingly talented Hannah Elizabeth Flowers to create a really beautiful, whimsical setting for them with her flowers.
I loved the brass archway decorated with bursts of colour and texture, it was really a beautiful frame for the ceremony.
It was soon time for Kerry to make her way down the aisle.
Nick was so keen to get married he even started walking to meet her with tears in his eyes!
They said their vows, exchanged rings and were soon announced as Husband and Wife.
I don’t think they stopped grinning for a second!
A Relaxed Oaktree of Peover Wedding Reception
Guests were ushered out of the main entrance of the Oaktree of Peover to get ready for the confetti shot!
Maddie Farris was their incredible wedding photographer (we LOVE working together) and once we’d captured alllllll that colourful confetti, it was time to organise the group photographs.
Kerry and Nick then surprised their wedding guests with a crepe stall instead of traditional wedding canapes!
Once everyone had enjoyed their crepes it was time to find their seat for the wedding breakfast.
They made their way in to the reception room to loud cheers as Nick tried to avoid standing on his Brides dress…
It’s Time For The Wedding Speeches
They decided to enjoy their wedding speeches first, before their meal.
Kerry’s Dad started them off with a seemingly well rehearsed speech. It had everyone laughing and even a few tears.
It’s always nice to hear stories from the couple growing up!
Breaking tradition they invited Nick’s best friend to do a speech too. She shared some funny tales from their friendship, it was a real insight!
We also had lots of laughter to film thanks to the Best Man, as well as Nick sharing a little more about their relationship (to Kerry as well as his mates ha)!
The wedding breakfast was then served as guests filled in their fun wedding games the couple had left on the tables.
Time Alone (With The Photographer and Videographer)
With the sun about to dip behind the trees at The Oaktree of Peover and Cora having a nap, we snuck the couple off for some time to capture them together.
The cutest moment might of been when they were waiting for us under a tree. I’m not sure Nick knew his shimmy’s were being filmed at that point…
I always encourage making time for some couples portraits with your photographer and videographer.
Why?
Well, it’s nice to have a few gorgeous natural moments of you both on your wedding day.
But it’s also nice to make that time together away from your guests!
Your wedding day can run away with itself and it’s hard to find a few moments to take a breath.
It’s a great way to hit pause!
An Evening Of Dancing…
Their DJ Coast 2 Coast had a great set up going so we knew he’d fill that dancefloor.
The couple started things off with their first dance to Imagine Dragons and Kygo before inviting everyone to join them on the dancefloor.
We couldn’t help but stay a little longer and film all those amazing dance moves!
Wedding Videography at The Oaktree of Peover
For a first visit to the Oaktree of Peover I must say I can see why this couple chose it!
It feels like it’s tucked away and a little hidden gem in the world of Cheshire wedding venues.
I love how the natural wood beamed entrance greets you, all that natural light and the gardens are lovely too.
It must be lovely to explore as a couple and it’s just as nice filming there too!
