Why Families Choose My Newborn Photography + Video
In those early newborn weeks, everything feels overwhelming, beautiful and exhausting all at once. You already know you want to remember them, you just don’t want the stress, pressure or performance that often comes with traditional newborn photography.
That’s exactly why families come to me.
Instead of packing bags, watching the clock and trying to look “ready”, I bring my camera to you! My approach is calm, baby-led and documentary in style, so you don’t have to pose, perform or tidy for me. You simply get to be with your baby while I quietly preserve the moments that matter
As a mum who knows how vulnerable these weeks can feel, I understand that the magic is in the everyday interactions with the added pressure of a photoshoot. Feeding, settling, resting, and everything in-between. We move slowly. We follow your baby’s rhythm. If you need a tea break, a nappy change, or a minute to regroup that’s not an interruption, it’s part of the story.
Parents tell me they choose me because it feels honest and real. Because these images reflect their family and their story. The sleepy stretches, the soft expressions, the way they curl into you. The tiny things you don’t realise you’ll want to remember until they’re gone.
The things that feel ordinary today become the memories you’ll return to most. Moments you are all a part of, together.
And while photographs freeze those moments beautifully, video adds another layer. The sounds, movement and emotion you’ll want to feel again when the newborn blur has passed.
My role isn’t just to take pictures and record video. It’s to help you see the beauty you’re living and keep it safe for the future.

I realise a lot of my favourite newborn baby sessions in the portfolio are heavily biased to Lancashire, Cheshire and Manchester but I do love to travel! My candid style of family photography and videography is unique and so I’m always willing to travel to ensure you can have your every day family life captured!
