A Tractor was the Bride’s ‘alternative’ wedding transport, the family Border Collie as the ring barer and a very emotional Groom’s speech made this wedding at Inn At Whitewell pretty special indeed!

Yet another wedding put on hold, it really made all the emotions and celebrations that extra bit special on the day.

A joy to capture as their wedding videographer and it felt really special creating this film to show off all the best bits of their wedding day in Lancashire…

A Chilled Wedding Morning On The Farm…

Both myself and my second camera assistant, Paul, had the fun of capturing both wedding mornings on family farms!

Sammi was enjoying the fresh air and sound of cockerels whilst having her hair and make-up done in the garden summer house.

Family and friends kept busy taking the wedding flowers over to the church as well as ensuring her Dad’s John Deere Tractor stayed pristine for the journey to church!

Wedding Morning Calm and Chaos…

Filming a wedding you never know what the vibe will be on the day. It may start relaxed and calm but as the time to leave nears it can sometimes get a little hectic.

Thankfully both were super chilled, even if other members of the Bridal party were running around flapping as they got themselves ready!

I’d like to think I add to the calm being able to step in when needed, be it for help with the dress or jewellery (the bonus of short nails I think haha) or even fiddly ties and wedding buttonholes.

It was then time for Sammi to pull herself in to her alternative wedding transportation! Her Dad’s John Deere tractor

A Wedding Ceremony At Barton Church

James and Sammi’s wedding ceremony was held down the road from her parent’s at Barton Church (also known at St Lawrences’s Church).

The long tree lined path made for quite the entrance to the church ceremony and also a gorgeous shot for their wedding video!

Wedding Rings and Dogs At Weddings

So many couples opt to have their dog at their wedding. Usually it’s a quick visit for some wedding photos during the day but this time their family dog got a very special job!

Max (their Border Collie) got to walk Sammi down the aisle with her Dad before delivering their wedding rings during the service.

It was a first for me to film and he even got a mention during the service too!

Confetti and A Secret Stop Over

Their flower girl did a great job ensuring everyone had a big handful of confetti before the newlyweds made their way down that long church path at St Lawrences.

There were a few opportunists throwing it down places they shuldn’t but as ever, it makes for some fun filming!

As guests made their way over to The Inn At Whitewell for the reception Sammi and James had plans of a secret stop over on the way to capture some of the dramatic farmland and scenery around the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire…

Wedding Reception at The Inn At Whitewell

Guests were already enjoying the drinks reception when we made it back to The Inn At Whitewell with the happy couple.

Their photographer Amy (Cherished Memories) then got to organising all the group shots outside before guests made their way in to the reception.

Emotional and Heartfelt Wedding Speeches

Guests appluaded as each speaker took their turn to deliver their wedding speech.

When it came to James’s Grooms speech he started off so confident. Then it came to thanking his parents his emotions got the better of him.

He did joke and ask if there was a way to make it look like he didn’t cry but sadly, as he cried quite a bit (which was so lovely by the way) it had to sneak in the Highlights…

Embracing The Weather And Stepping Stones

It may’ve started off a sunny wedding day but sadly the Lancashire rain crept in during their weding reception at the Inn At Whitewell.

Being farmers they were already prepared with their wellies and a huge umbrella so were keen to get out on the stepping stones for some fun couple portraits!

We all headed out and enjoyed the Northern weather as well as getting some stunning shots …

A Fun First Dance…

Just like us, Sammi and James had taken a few dance lessons so they could show off a choreographed first dance for their evening reception.

But it didn’t end there. They also started a Macarana with their Bridesmaids and Groomsmen! I can tell James enjoyed that the most, he didn’t stop grinning!

Inn At Whitewell Wedding Videography

I LOVED my visit to The Inn At Whitewell so much I want to take Lee and Paisley back for their infamous fish pie!

But what I loved the most was how intimate it felt, like a proper family knees up. It really suited the couple and the vibe of their day to the ground. A pleasure to capture!
