As a documentary film maker and videographer I’ve always loved observing people.
Early on in my film career editing comedy films I LOVED watching actors and crew create the perfect scene. More recently it’s been about watching wedding suppliers working hard to create the perfect day. It’s always been fascinating being the person to document it unfold on video.
So when I was asked to capture ‘behind the scenes’ at a top secret shoot for the front cover of Little White Books wedding magazine I jumped at the chance without even knowing all the details!

And it’s true!
It’s like the wedding planning bible full to the brim with wedding ideas and inspiration. Real weddings, talented wedding suppliers (including a videographer section with me in there!), wedding features, styled shoots showing off new trends and of course a little behind the scenes on their new magazine cover shoot…

Salford Lads Club – An Iconic Wedding Venue
Now anyone who follows me over on Instagram knows I have a more 90’s taste in music but there’s no denying that Salford Lad’s Club is an icon in the music industry thanks to THAT photograph with Morrissey outside those historic doors.
Inside you’ll find the incredible ‘The Smiths Room’ with every inch of wall space covered with historical Manchester music scene promotional material and messages from The Smiths and Morrissey fans all over the world. Walls of names and musical memories.
I LOVED wandering around to see the historical artifacts, the old black and white photos and the incredible setting we were lucky to be filming in for the Little White Books Front Cover Shoot.
Salford Lad’s Club is now an official Manchester wedding venue. The perfect space for a smaller more intimate wedding with a really cool Northern vibe.
