A Relaxed Country Wedding at Statham Lodge Hotel
A Relaxed & Joyful Wedding at Statham Lodge Hotel
When couples look for wedding videography at Statham Lodge Hotel, one of the things they often want most is a relaxed, natural approach. This beautiful Georgian country manor house in Warrington (Cheshire) is the perfect backdrop for timeless celebrations, but that doesn’t mean couples have to love the spotlight or want all the fuss of lots of cameras!
Charlotte and Josh are the perfect example. From the start, they described themselves as camera shy and told me they didn’t want to be the centre of attention all day. But despite that, they loved the idea of having a wedding video! They wanted their video to reflect the fun and the laughter that surrounded them all day long and that’s exactly what we set out to capture.
Charlotte and Josh’s Wedding Highlights Video
The couple were unsure at first whether they wanted their wedding morning filmed but after our pre-wedding catch up, they thankfully changed their mind as they liked the idea of filming them getting ready with their best friends.
Not only is the morning perfect for capturing the excitement and build-up before the ceremony with those closest to you, it’s also a great chance to get used to me (and my camera) being around. By the time the big moment comes to walk down the aisle, the camera isn’t a “thing” anymore – and you can simply relax and enjoy your wedding.

A Wedding Full of Giggles, Music & Magic
The couple’s love of Country music shone through their celebrations, starting with a ‘Harmony Wedding Duo’ singing them down the aisle who set the perfect joyful tone. A nervous and emotional Groom took a few deep breaths after a ‘false start’ waiting for the arrival of the Bride. Which ended up being a great way to break the ice! Once Charlotte was ready, Josh fought back the tears as they enjoyed a short and sweet civil ceremony to make it all official.
Entertainment was a big part of their day, from the live singers to a close-up magician amazing guests during the drinks reception. They even had a photobooth in the evening that had everyone in fits of laughter later on due to the fun props!
But one of the sweetest highlights was their little page boy. Not only carefully delivering the rings , a memory that had the whole room smiling, but also stealing the show throughout the day with his cute and cheeky nature.

Statham Lodge: The Perfect Backdrop for Natural Moments
One of the reasons Statham Lodge is such a popular wedding venue is that it suits couples who want their day to feel elegant but relaxed. The private gardens are perfect for guests to mingle as well as creating a natural setting for any family and couple photos (and video). The ceremony rooms create a warm and intimate atmosphere and although they have an outdoor ceremony space, Charlotte and Josh opted to say their vows indoors and enjoy all that natural light streaming through the tall windows.
Statham Lodge is ideal for couples who fancy something with a bit of history too! Just on the outskirts of the historic village of Lymm, this Grade II listed Georgian Manor House gives a wonderful setting for weddings both intimate and on the larger side.
For Charlotte and Josh, it was never about staged shots or even the fancy setting. It was about capturing the real connections with their loved ones. The giggles with friends, the emotion from family, and the little in-between moments that make a wedding day so memorable.
