Oh my goodness. I don’t even know where to start with this gorgeous Lake District wedding video.
I can’t begin to tell you about how excited I was to hear from the Bride’s Mum who wanted to book (thanks yet again to Siobhan!).
The Lake District is one of my all time favourite places to visit, not only as a wedding videographer but also with my family! Being in Lancashire we are so lucky to live so close by we can technically just nip over for the day!
For Jess and Ste’s wedding they’d also picked the talented Vicki O’Brian as their wedding photographer and had a whole host of amazing north west wedding suppliers on board (you’ll find the full list at the bottom of this blog post).
But really, you just want to see the film don’t you..?
A Fun and Elegant Armathwaite Hall Wedding Video
Our Bride Jessica was getting ready in the stunning Bridal Suite in the tower at luxury Lake District wedding venue Armathwaite Hall joined by both Mum’s and her bridal party. Not forgetting handsome a little page boy (who took a shine to one one of the Bridesmaids!).
Stephen was getting ready over near Penrith at his parents home with his Groomsman. They had fun perfecting their braces and bow ties to match. Looking really dapper in their smart looking black DKNY suits and crisp white shirts.
The clouds were finally starting to part and really show off the amazing Bassenthwaite lake side scenery over at Armathwaite Hall. I LOVED setting Jess’s dress up in front of that AMAZING window overlooking the lake! Seeing Jessica be transformed in the a truly stunning Bride (how amazing is her hair and make-up by Rebecca and Jessica?) was fun to capture on video too.
She took everyone’s breathe away.
The Lake District – The perfect setting for an stylish Wedding!
A romantic ceremony at Armathwaite Hall in the Lakes
The guys clock watched and pretended not to be nervous standing in front of all their family and friends awaiting the bridal party (which always makes for really great moments on the final wedding video).
They didn’t have to wait long as Jess couldn’t wait to get down the aisle.
They exchanged wedding rings and said their vows before having their first kiss as official husband and wife. Yey!
Guests were soon ushered out on to the lawns over looking the lake in the glorious sunshine before Vicki started making her way through the list of family group shots.
I like the bits in-between the actual photos, when people don’t think anyone is taking a photo (or filming them do silly things or say something inappropriate haha).
Black ties, bow ties and beautiful blush bridesmaids in the Lakes – A Lake District Wedding Video
With the sun still shining it was soon time to start the wedding breakfast back inside Armathwaite Hall. Jess and Stephen kept it simple with fresh white flowers dressing the room. Not forgetting the personal touch of homemade alcohol for all the guests!
The wedding speeches seemed tricky at first with the cosy room layout but they totally nailed it and got all the guests belly laughing. I loved hearing all the personal stories (and seeing the reactions!). It’s the wedding speeches that most couples can’t wait to relive and it’s a great reason to hire a professional wedding videographer!
As evening guests freshened up Vicki and I took the couple out in to the fields by the lake to capture some relaxed and romantic moments of just the two of them.
I managed to get some of my favourite moments of the day here and you’d never know they weren’t so keen of being all ‘lovey dovey’ as they thought it’d be cheesy (you’ll see it’s anything but)!
In the evening they moved over to the modern side of the country venue. Lots of thought had gone in to the details from the basket of flip flops for evening guests to the chalkboard notices and Polaroid guest book.
They had a cool sax player entertaining their guests before nipping outside for the fun that is the bouquet toss and not forgetting enjoying a mass sparkler shot!
Our Dave sax guy then played them on to the dance floor for their first dance. Stephen became a pro at lifting her up for a crowd pleasing spin!
I honestly had an amazing day spending time with such wonderful families. It’s great to be able to work with couples who are not only lovely but have family and friends welcome you in like you’ve known them forever!
It makes my job so much easier and I can really capture the fun and relaxed atmosphere without anyone even realising I’m filming…
