Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley is one of my all time favourite countryside venues to be a wedding videographer at (I love it that much I even recommended it to my sister in law who ended up getting married there too, see her wedding highlights video here).
I’ve had the pleasure of editing this wonderful wedding highlights video to a track recorded by Bridget’s talented sister. Makes it extra personal, don’t you think?
Smiles and the smell of bacon welcomed me at Bridget’s Mum and Dad’s beautiful home, the hair and make-up team were busy making everyone look perfect and the boys were doing their best to keep out the way!
Over near the church the Groom was getting ready with his wedding party (though they were actually playing pool and reading the papers when my assistant arrived!).
The morning flew by as usual and everyone was soon getting themselves ready eagerly awaiting the wedding cars to take them to the church, St John’s in Broughton.
The rain was soon tapping at the window as Bridget stepped in to her wedding dress, giddy with excited nerves and her Mum fussing around her to make sure everything was perfect.
Her bridesmaids cried when they saw her and after wiping away their tears they were soon practising how to hold her dress before the chauffeurs from Broughton Wedding Cars were helping them all in to the wedding cars.
At church Ben found time to take a few selfies with his Best Man and Ushers before getting in to place at the front of the church. Bridget made it through the puddles and was soon making her way down the aisle to meet her Groom.
They didn’t stop grinning at each other throughout, it was wonderful to see a couple so in love.
After lighting their candle together they were soon walking back down the aisle as husband and wife, pausing to pose for photos under the church bells (as Bridget rings the church bells herself!).
Rain had finally stopped and guests made their way over to Mitton Hall for the wedding reception.
The red carpet was laid out and the fire roaring as guests enjoyed Pimms and canapes.
The breakfast room looked incredible as always and guests were wowed as they took to their seats.
The new Dr and Mrs Sanderson were announced in to the room to deafening applause, still with those huge grins on their faces!
After the meal guests were treated to some incredible speeches before heading out in to the grounds of Mitton to enjoy a few family photographs with their photographer friend, Ian.
The room was quickly turned around so that their wedding band The Funtime Frankies could be ready to play Bridget and Ben’s first dance as husband and wife.
Guests were then in for a surprise as Bridget and Ben performed with their bridal party (including Mum’s and Dad’s!!!) to the track Uptown Funk.
Safe to say the guests were impressed with their dance moves and were soon joining them on the dance floor to show off moves of their own…
I LOVED filming Bridget and Ben’s wedding and it was great to be back at Mitton Hall again. If you’re planning to get married at Mitton and are after a videographer get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!
