Firstly, let me apologise for the lack of blogging! It has been a very exciting few weeks for me, what with amazing weddings to film and edit as well as a little bit of networking! I’ve even joined Twitter (@LoveGetsSweeter)!
So, on the the more important things…
Happy belated Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Ball! I did manage to post a little something on Facebook but I really wanted to make some time to relive the day on here.
I actually met Justin through Natalie and Rob who were married at Consall Hall and Gardens in Staffordshire. They had recommended me to Justin even before I had filmed their own wedding! Justin just happens to be the Events and Wedding co-ordinator at Consall so I knew I was in for a treat! If you haven’t had the chance to visit Consall you’re missing out. We were blown away with how amazing the grounds are and can see why so many couples choose to marry there!
It’s very rare that I have first contact with the Groom on his wedding day but it was lovely to hear wedding planning from a male perspective and what great plans they were. We had a lovely long chat all about the plans they’d made and even a little bit about the two of them. I also got an insight to what a busy life they leads with stock car racing, running a wedding venue and owning his own bar, Elmo’s!
We never got the chance to meet Justin and Claire before the day but on the plus side it was really lovely for them to put their complete trust in us after seeing our work. I was quite nervous if I’m honest, especially as I’d be filming Claire with all her family and I’d not even said hello before the day! I really had nothing to worry about as I was made to feel really welcome. Claire’s Dad even made my a mouthwatering Bacon Butty while I captured the laughter filled morning!
The fun continued over at the boys house including a impromptu sing a long, struggles with ties and button holes and stories of the stag do! If that wasn’t enough fun they then heading off the the airport for their Helicopter ride to the venue and Justin even filmed it so we could add it to the DVD. As a surprise they had a stock car waiting for him decorated especially for the soon to be married couple and they headed off to Consall from the nearby field. And if that wasn’t fun enough the car then broke down meaning the Groom and his Best Men were filmed pushing the car the rest of the way!
So, you will see the morning was a blast and they had even more fun planned with entertaining photos, mechanical sheep, inflatable entertainment and amazing food!! The Highlights shows that off wonderfully but if you want to see and hear all the bits that didn’t make it take a look at their out takes below. They actually booked these in before the wedding after seeing ours. I knew it was perfect for them after chatting with Justin and I after watching this I think you’ll agree!
