I had a feeling that this would be a beautiful wedding. Richard and Tracy work down in London so we never actually got to meet until a couple of days before the actual wedding! I did manage to miss the road to Thornton Manor TWICE on the way to that meeting, however I did bring the sun with me which was a promising start.
On the day itself I had such fun at Tracy’s parents. All the girls were in lovely white robes, eating delicious smoked salmon bagels and sipping champagne while they had their hair and make up done…if only every day could be like that! Over with Richard, the boys got treated to a bucket of beers in the back of a VW van!
The ceremony took place in the stunning St Werburgh’s in Chester. Tracy kept to tradition with the ceremony being slightly delayed as she had forgot her bouquet! They had to get the car to turn around so she could go back and get it! The strings sounded beautiful playing Romeo and Juliet’s Kissing you as Tracy walked down the aisle with her Dad. The music they played during the signing of the register inspired the music I used for the film!
After the ceremony they had a slight detour to the beautiful village of Thornton Hough in the Wirral. Their photographer Tobiah Tayo and his new wife Laura had been married only a few weeks before and their wedding photos had inspired Tracy and Richard to have their photos by the traditional red phone box.
They arrived at Thornton Manor in style and paused for a few beautiful photos in the grounds before heading in to a rapturous applause from their guests. More photo’s were taken and guests mingled while sampling delicious canapes and champagne. The wind decided to pick up as they began their group photos and a few hats nearly disappeared behind the hedges! All that made for some great footage! They then made their way in to the wedding breakfast where their entrance changed the tone of the day so I felt a nice change in the track would reflect that, you will soon see what I mean…
The speeches went down a treat and guests even put money down on the duration! With a quick turn around after the breakfast the guests were treated to a fabulous evening of dancing to music played by Groovy Revolution who really got the party started! Guests were still filling the dance floor as we left and I’m sure they were there right till the end!
So, I hope that painted a lovely picture of their day for you? Below is their wonderful Highlights film with a little twist…
